Apple MacBook Pro 17-inch

Apple has just unveiled their new 17-inch Macbook Pro. This laptop will feature an aluminum case at just 25.4mm thin, weighs only 3kg, includes a built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing and the Front Row with Apple Remote. In addition to all the other neat features the MacBook Pro also features a MagSafe Power Adapter, invented by Apple especially for mobile users. Being powered by a 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo processor, this laptop is now up to five times faster than the 17-inch PowerBook G4. To interaction even easier this MacBook Pro features a built-in iSight video camera. That can be used for video conferencing on-the-go using Apple’s iChat AV, or recording a video Podcast and iMovie using iLife ‘06. An updated list of the Mac OS X can be found here. Limited to only 600 units, Toshiba’s Dynabook TX/870LSFIFA is inspired by the upcoming 2006 Fifa World Cup. The 2006 Fifa World Cup shell is gold and has embossed listings of previous World Cup winners/host countries. In terms of performance, the this laptop features a 1.66-GHz Intel Core Duo T2300 CPU, 512MB of memory, 80GB hard drive, and a DVD Super Multi drive (DVD±R DL). The 15.4-inch WXGA display with Clear SuperView technology is ideal for gaming or watching movies. On the outside, you will find USB 2.0 ports, a Type 2 PC Card slot, 4-in-1 memory card reader, FireWire port, and 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi. This laptop will be on sale on May 26th in Japan and will cost about $1,730. Via Toshiba.

Lamborghini VX1 Laptop

The Lamborhini VX 1 comes with 1GB of DDR2 SDRAM, a 120GB HDD, dual-layer DVD±R/RW burning, and a NVidia GeForce Go 7400 GPU with 256MB of memory. Its 15-inch display features 1400 x 1050 which is said to be good. Like most good-looking things this is the case where the price follows the name, this sleek looking laptop will cost $3267 USD. With a release date of the end of April this laptop will hopefully be available through the Asus channels along with Lamborghini’s online and retail outlets. Via Engadget.

Toshiba is at it again with the the Dynabook SS MX. The beast packs an Intel Core Duo T2300 (1.66GHz) CPU, 80GB hard drive, 512MB of RAM, DVD Super Multi drive, and a 4-in-1 memory card reader. Built-in with a biometric fingerprint sensor you can rest assure that your data is secure, and its bright 12.1-inch WXGA display is perfect for watching DVDs. Other external interfaces include three USB 2.0 ports, a Type 2 PC Card slot, and IEEE 1394 (4 pins) FireWire. Weighing at 4.2-pounds, Toshiba will release the SS MX later this month, priced at $1,773. Via TechEBlog.

Sony VAIO Type L Series

Here’s the latest series of computers from Sony. The “Type L” series will feature a transparent chasis. The models will include 15.4 inch/19 inch display, Core Duo T2300 (1.66GHz)/Celeron M 420 (1.60 GHZ) processor, 512MB of Ram, 80/200 GB harddrive, DVD Super Multi drive, and an analog TV tuner. Some of the other features are its 3.1 megapixel webcam, analog TV tuner. Other perks include a 3.1-megapixel webcam, multi-format memory card reader, and four USB 2.0 ports.
