Priced at US$1800, the Lenovo X60 packs an Intel Core Duo or Core Solo processor, up to 2GB of memory, 120GB HDD, a biometric fingerprint reader, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and a 12.1-inch XGA touch screen display. It weighs 3.77 pounds and has an up to 7.5 hours of battery life.

The upcoming Macbook Core 2 Duos feature a 2GHz processor and 512MB of ram. If the original Macbooks were great enough, these new ones will be one of the best laptops out. Release date is slated for November 13 and price is reported to be £899.99 and £1029.99.

Dell Latitude 131L - New AMD-Powered Laptop

Dell announced the first AMD-powered notebook in its Latitude series will be available to customers at dell’s website. According to press release, the 15.4-inch widescreen Dell Latitude 131L is designed for the small business users and is highly customizable. Dell Latitude 131L will be configurable with AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core with laptop’s price starting at US$899 or a Mobile Sempron processor for US$629. The new laptop is based on ATI RS485M / SB600 chipset with ATI R485M integrated graphics with up to 224MB of shared memory. The 131L incorporates wireless card, 10/100 Ethernet LAN and a standard 56K modem. Regarding ports and slots, the new Windows Vista Capable AMD-powered notebook has ExpressCard/54, four USB ports, and a 3-in-1 media memory card reader (SD/SDIO/MMC). Dell Latitude 131L weights 6.38 lbs with 6-cell battery, but there is no info on battery life. Also, hard drive info is still in mystery.
