ASUS Lamborghini VX1 Golden Edition

The VX1 Golden Edition features a 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7400 processor, 2GB of DDR2-667 memory, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 VX graphics, 160GB HDD, and a 15.2-inch widescreen SXGA+ display. Limited to just 200 units, the VX1 Golden Edition goes on sale tomorrow in Japan. No word yet on pricing and when this laptop will be available in the US. One more picture after the jump.

The VX1 Golded Edition goes on sale in Japan tomorrow, in a limited run of just 200 machines. At this stage it’s unclear whether the notebook will be offered elsewhere in the world. If so, will each territory get 200 units, or is that the global total? Asus Japan didn’t say. Either way, each laptop has a metal plate embossed on the back with a unique machine number.

Sony’s reputation for stylish notebooks stands up with the ultraportable 12.1-inch VAIO G. Weighing just 898-grams or 1.98-pounds, this ultraportable laptop features a 12.1-inch, 1024×768 display screen, a choice Celeron or Core Solo 1.06GHz U1300 or 1.2GHz U1400 processors, integrated Intel 945GMS Express graphics, up to 80GB of disk and 1.5GB memory, 6-hour battery, fingerprint reader, 802.11a/b/g WiFi and Bluetooth, USB 2.0, and a multi-format memory card and PCMCIA slot. And it’s all packed into a tough carbon shell measuring 277mm × 215mm × 23.5mm ~ 25.5mm. It is available starting December 2, 2006 in Japan for US$1,836.
