Review of Lenovo 3000 C200

Review of Lenovo 3000 C200

Weighing at 6.1 pounds, the budget-priced Lenovo 3000 C200 is powered by 1.60GHz Intel Celeron M processor, 512MB of DDR memory, 80GB HDD, DVD Super-Multi drive, and a 15-inch display. It is an awesome upgrade over the previous C100 model. Some guys at NotebookReview have reviewed this laptop. Here is the verdict.

The Lenovo C200 is hands down an awesome upgrade over the previous C100 model. It seems as though they looked at a list of weaknesses of the previous model, and found ways to go above and beyond improving them. Performance has nearly doubled with the new Core 2 Duo, the hard drive is now the newer SATA standard, the screen hinges feel they could outlast the laptop, and the much enjoyed keyboard stayed just the same.

World’s First Carbon Fiber MacBook

World’s First Carbon Fiber MacBook

This modder claims to have created “the world’s first carbon fiber MacBook” (notice the quotes). He used Carbon Graphix, a $20 vinyl sticker you can get just about anywhere and slapped it on his MacBook like a decal. The thing really looks like real carbon fiber so it could fool people on the first pass. Ok so it’s not the real thing but don’t you wish you could make your MacBook super light as air and super durable with a $20 sticker? LOL. Not a bad idea though. More pictures after the jump.

The sticker can be easily applied and removed from your MacBook to give it that MacBook Pro look. This definitely beats the alternative, and looks more polished too.

Review of Alienware Aurora m9700

Review of Alienware Aurora m9700

I can say this Alienware’s latest gaming notebook is a monster! The Aurora ALX is powered by two nVidia GeForce Go 7900 GS graphics modules in SLI configuration, which allow for resolutions of up to 1920 x 1200 on its 17 inch screen. The laptop is also powered by a dual-core 2.4GHz AMD Turion 64 Mobile ML44 processor, 2GB of DDR2-667 memory, 200GB HDD, and a DVD Super-Multi drive. Laptop Magazine has a deep review of this “monster” laptop. Here is the verdict.

If you’re looking for desktop-PC-caliber gaming performance and multimedia ability in a laptop-sized package, the m9700 is a solid choice. However, we’d wait for the dual-core processor and a high-definition DVD drive option before shelling out more than four grand.

Check out one more additional pic after the jump!
