Intel Core 2 Duo processor-based Apple Mac computers, including MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops, support the next generation 802.11n wireless technologies. However, users should install the“Airport Extreme 802.11n Enabler 1.0” patch in order to enable it. Apple Insider reported that the patch will be available next month and will cost $4.99. FYI, the 802.11n wireless speed is claimed to scale to 600Mbit/sec, with a range 50% greater than Wi-Fi can offer.
