Asus introduced two new gadgets at CeBIT 2007, including the Rugged Military NB tablet PC and the “Highly Integration UMPC”. The Rugged Military NB tablet PC features 13.3 inch display screen and holds the IP 54 standard for sand and water protection. The “Highly Integration UMPC” provides a 7 inch display, an integrated GPS system, an ExpressCard slot and runs on a VIA processor. Pricing details for both devices are still unknown. New Apple Macbooks With Flash Memory

According to analyst Shaw Wu, Apple may sell new Macbooks with Flash memory. These new Apple notebooks will be known as sub-notebooks and will have a stripped down version of Apple’s current operating system. It is probably to facilitate the smaller storage space as a result of switching to Flash memory only. Flash memory based notebooks provides a faster boot time, better battery life (less moving parts) and less chances of data loss as the hard drive has no moving parts.
