The Epson Endeavor NJ2050 Laptop

The Epson Endeaver NJ2050 low-cost laptop is using Microsoft’s Windows XP Home Edition operating system and boasts a 1.73GHz Celeron processor, 40GB hard drive, and 256MB of RAM. Unfortunately, this laptop has only a standard CD-ROM drive. It’s a great laptop for those who don’t need those expensive notebooks with high specs. The Epson NJ2050 retails for around $590.

Other features include 15.4 inch WXGA Widescreen TFT Screen with SuperClear Technology, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 256 MB dedicated graphics, Integrated 6 -in-1 card reader, wireless 802.11 a/b/g LAN and Bluetooth. Pricing is still in mystery.

The new Medion RIM 1000 will be released in the U.S. very soon. This new UMPC will have an internal GPS module and will also support an external GPS antenna. Other features is two internal microphones and speaker, web cam, USB port, media slot, bluetooth and Wi-Fi. No word on pricing yet!

Intel’s New Ultra Mobile Platform

Intel has recently announced their new ultra mobile platform today. Dubbed as the IUMPC2007, the gadget offers two different processing chips; the smaller 600MHz A100, and the larger 800MHz A110. It will utilize the 946GU Express Chipset with Intel GMA850 graphics that will allow a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 and up to 1GB of DDR2 Memory. No word on pricing yet.
