NEC introduced its new special edition Nissan Micra laptop. Priced at $1,020, the notebook PC has a Nissan logo above the keyboard and comes with a slipcase made out of the same material Nissan uses in the March’s seats. The notebook PC is powered by a 1.8GHz Sempron 3400+ processor, 512MB RAM, a DVD-ROM drive, a 15.4 inch widescreen and Windows Vista Home Basic operating system.
LG will release the LG E300-AP75KA in Korea. Weighing at 1.3kg, the laptop is powered by a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 processor with a 13.3 inch WXGA Fine Bright LCD, 2GB of RAM, 160GB of Hybrid hard disk drive with 256MB of flash memory, a DVD Multi Recorder, a 1.3MP webcam, a HDMI output, Wi-fi, and an ATI Radeon X1250 (shared memory). The laptop retails for around $1750.
NEC has collaborated with Nissan to produce a 12.1-inch notebook that comes with the same red color as the Nissan X-Trail car. The LaVie G X-TRAIL features X-TRAIL logo on the palm rest, and waterproof casing made of same material as car’s seat. It features Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 ULV processor, 1,024 x 768 resolution, dual layer DVD burner, and Windows Vista operating system. The notebook PC is now available in Japan for $2,123.
Here is a list of HP Compaq’s new line of business laptop that features Sprint’s EVDO (3G cellular wireless connectivity). These laptops also come with a disk encryption and HP Quicklook, a fast-boot access to email and calendar.
The new 15.4-inch A6110 from Fujitsu is a Santa Rosa based laptop with faster 802.11n wireless, Intel Turbo memory, spill-resistance keyboard, fingerprint reader, webcam, and optional point and write touchpad for touchscreen like functionality. Priced at $799, the desktop replacement can be customized with Core 2 Duo T5250 / T7250 / T7500 CPU, up to 4GB DDR2 RAM, 1GB Turbo memory, GMA X3100 graphics, max 300GB hard drive with shock sensor technology, dual layer DVD burner, a/b/g/n wireless, Bluetooth, and Windows Vista operating system.
Toshiba has re-launched the Satellite Pro low-cost business notebook brand by introducing the 15.4-inch Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-EZ2203X and Toshiba Satellite Pro A200-EZ2204X models. Priced at $899, the A210-EZ2203X is powered by the 2GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-602 dual-core processor with the AMD M690V chipset and the integrated ATI Radeon X1200 graphics. The laptop also offers 2GB of DDR2 system memory, a 120GB hard drive at 5,400rpm, a DVD burner and 802.11b/g wireless module.
Priced at $999, the Satellite Pro A200-EZ2204X is based on the Intel GM965 chipset with the GMA X3100 integrated graphics, and comes loaded with a 2GHz Core 2 Duo T7250 processor with 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 120GB hard drive at 5,400rpm, a DVD burner and a 802.11a/b/g wireless module. Both laptops feature Ethernet LAN and 56K modem connections, four USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, a bridge media adapter and a Firewire port.
