Alienware has released the new Alienware Area-51 m17x notebook. The Area-51 m17x is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme processors and comes with NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX graphics card, three hard drives with SmartBay, an LED-illuminated keyboard, and 1080p video and HD audio support. Sony’s Vaio Type A AV notebook is receiving an upgrade. The 17” still has a WUXGA screen and a BLu-Ray drive, but it now has a Core 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz), 400GB en RAID 0, Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT and a Digital TV Tuner.

Acer will release a new notebook in Japan called the AS5520-7A1G16. It features a 15.4-inch screen and a 1,280 x 800 WXGA resolution. It runs on AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor and has 1GB memory and 160GB HDD. Acer has released it in Japan for USD$930.
Gateway will be making new colors for its M-Series and T-Series notebooks.The new color choices include:Merlot, Silver and Arctic Bloom as well as Garnet Red and Pacific Blue. The M-Series will get Merlot and Silver, and both M- and T-Series will have the Arctic Bloom. Gateway will be charging between $799.99 and $1,399.99 for these colorful notebooks.
The German market is offering a great portable mini laptop called the Maxdata Belinea s.book 1 mini laptop. The Maxdata is an ultra-portable seven-inch laptop with : 80GB HDD and DVD writer on a system running on Windows XP Pro, VIA C7-M processor and VIA VX700 chipset, Original Microsoft
1024 MB DDR2 SDRAM, 7-inch WVGA TFT (800 x 480 pixels) as well as Bluetooth, VoIP phone, a touch-screen, DVI-I for a decent price of $1,190 but unfortunately it’s only available in the German market at the moment.
Mac nerds will be blown away by the new Macbook Air. It features a 13.3-inch widescreen LED display, full-size keyboard, and large multi-touch trackpad as well as the Bluetooth 2.1 & 802.11n Wi-Fi and is powered by a 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. One other outstanding feature would be the Remote Disc that allows you to play DVD’s and CD’s by connecting wirelessly to your Mac or PC. Get yours for $1800.
