
MSI will be releasing a new 13.3-inch laptop called the VR340. It features a dual-core Intel CPU, WXGA panel, up to 3GB of DDR2 RAM, dual-layer DVD burner, a trio of USB ports, 5-in-1 multicard reader and a six-cell battery. HP will release a new Asus Eee-PC competitor in April 7th, 2008. Known as the HP 2133, this Ultra Mobile PC comes equipped with 1.2GHz/1.6GHz VIA C7-M processor, VIA Chrome 9 graphics chipset, 8.9inch display with 1,280 x 768 resolution, 120GB/160GB hard drive, 1GB/2GB DDR2 RAM, Windows Vista Home Basic/Business/SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. MSI has upgraded their GX-6000 laptop and is now called the GX-6000 enhanced. It comes with new 45nm processing technology, a RAM of up to 3GB, and the hard drive is 320GB, a Turbo button on the keyboard to increase the CPU speed by up to 20 percent, a Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT 3D chipset, 5.1 channel audio output, SPDIF and HDMI connections, a 15.4″ WXGA+ display, integrated bluetooth and 1.3 megapixel camera. Korea will be getting the new Pixel Lab Ripple Tablet Note T8300. It’s powered by Intel’s Penryn T8300 2.4GHz processor along with an enhanced touch panel that supports stylus and finger use, optional 3.5G HSDPA wireless connectivity, 1.3 megapixel webcam, and a 7-in-1 memory card reader. [AVING]

Panasonic has announced that their Toughbook 19 will be getting an upgrade. The sturdy laptop now has a 1.06GHz U7500 processor (2MB L2 cache), up to 4GB of SDRAM, 80GB shock-mounted HDD, 10.4-inch daylight-readable display, a battery good for around seven hours, optional integrated WWAN / GPS / 2-megapixel webcam and a magnesium alloy case. MIU will be dropping a new HDPC. It’s going for about $500 and features a 4-inch touchscreen display, 1GHz VIA C7M ULV processor, 4GB of DDR2 memory, Windows XP / Linux Qplus embedded OS, 60GB HDD or 4GB SSD, miniSD/microSD card slot, 5.0-megapixel camera, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, and two USB ports.
