Algiz XRW Rugged Notebook

Handheld Group, the Swedish based supplier of rugged computers, today announced the new Algiz XRW rugged notebook that comes equipped with a 10.1-inch widescreen display. The display is fully readable under direct sunlight courtesy of the MaxView screen technology. The rugged notebook features a fast 2GHz Intel Atom processor, a 64GB solid state drive, a 2GB RAM, the Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a GPS navigation and a 2-megapixel AutoFocus camera for video conferencing purposes. Additionally, you can also opt for the 3G modem, which delivers high-speed GSM/UMTS/EVDO data transmission. The rugged Algiz XRW is a powerful performer that weighs in at only 1.5 kilos. Its keyboard and mouse-touchpad, illuminated by two led lights, are fully sealed, and it carries an IP65 rating against sand, dust and water. It passes MIL-STD-810F ruggedness testing, including drop tests from 1.2 meters, and can also handle extreme temperatures from -21 °C to 70 °C. [Press Release]
