Apple Unveils New MacBook Air

Apple has unveiled the new MacBook Air that measures 0.11-inches at its thinnest point and 0.68-inches at its thickest. Weighing at 2.3 pounds for the 11-inch model and 2.9 pounds for the 13-inch model, the new MacBook Air features solid state storage, up to 7-hours of battery life and a full-sized keyboard for typing comfort. Other highlights include a built-in FaceTime camera with a microphone and stereo speakers, Intel Core 2 Duo processors, an nVidia GeForce 320M graphics, 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity, a Mini DisplayPort and two USB ports (plus an SD card reader in the 13-inch model). As for price, the new MacBook Air will start at $999 for the 11.6-inch model. The new 13.3-inch MacBook Air will start at $1,299. RAM is upgradable from the stock 2GB to 4GB for an extra $100. CPU speeds will start at 1.4GHz on the 11.6-inch model, and go up to 2.13GHz for an extra $100 on the 13.3-inch model
