Rumors from Australia’s Smarthouse scopes that Apple could be the first company which will use a newly-developed 15-inch OLED screen from LG Display. They will use these state of the art screens on their “brand new” Apple notebook line that is tipped for a June release. Which notebook line would use it and the specifications aren’t mentioned. In addition, this rumor arrives three months after Apple signed a 5-year deal with LG Display. The deal involved a large $500 million advance uncharacteristic for Apple, which was already using LG for 70 percent of its computer screens. [Smarthouse via Electronista]
