Everex claims their new StepNote NC1500 as the world’s most energy efficient notebook. It boasts a 1.5GHz VIA C7-M processor, 512MB of DDR2-533 memory, 40GB HDD, VIA UniChrome Pro integrated graphics, dual-layer DVD burner, and a 15.4 inch WXGA display. Other features include 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, three USB 2.0 ports, and a VGA port. And the most important part is its price which is just US$498. Everex includes a 3-cell lithium-ion batter that averages +1.5 hours of mobile computing.

With the dimensions of 365mm × 270mm × 28.7mm - 45.5mm and 6.2 pounds, the Epson NJ5000Pro provides a bright 15.4 inch widescreen display, a 2.33-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7600 processor, up to 2GB of DDR2-667 memory, and a 40GB HDD. External interfaces include four USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port, 802.11a/b/g WLAN, and a 3-in-1 memory card reader. The laptop is now available in Japan, with prices starting at US$830.66.

LG unveiled two new laptops that pack a punch with its connectivity features such as WiBro, HSDPA and DMB support. The LG Xnote A1 (laptop) and Xnote C1 (tablet PC) are portable. Featuring a 1.2GHz Intel Core Duo processor, the graphics quality is handled by a GeForce 7300 Go with 64MB dedicated video memory, and offers WXGA resolution on the tiny 10.6 inch display. The Xnote A1 weighs just 1kg, while the C1 tablet PC weighs only 1.25kg. Lovely! I will find these laptops when they reach the US shore. However, there is no word on pricing or availability in the USA yet.
