Asus will be releasing a new gaming laptop called the G1Sn in Japan. It features an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz processor, 250GB hard drive, 2GB RAM, a 15.4″ 1,440 x 900 resolution display, and Windows Vista Home Edition. The G1Sn will be available the 26th of this month, retailing for approximately $2,300. [UberGizmo]

Here’s a look at BenQ’s upcoming UMPC called the mid. It has an Intel Atom processor (the base 800MHz model), 512MB of RAM, a 4GB SSD hard drive, HSPDA support along with wifi and bluetooth. The UMPC will also feature a “G-Senser” for “direct touch and free movement to surf on internet,” voice activation, and optional GPS. No word on the price or availability of the mid at this time. Toshiba has upgraded both their Qosimo and Dynabook models. The Qosmio F40 going for about €1352, gets rid of its HD DVD drive for a DVD multi option and features a Core 2 Duo T8100 CPU atop a GN965 Express chipset, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and HDMI outs. Next is the Dynabook AX (€922) now available in a pink, white, or black casing, a Celeron 550 CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, HDMI outs, and a Super Multi optical drive. The model has now been bumped to a Core 2 Duo T8100, plus 2GB of RAM, 200GB hard drive, and HDMI / Super Multi drive outputs for €1100. The 13.3-inch CX line features the same CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and everything else the other models have for €1230. [Akihabara]

The BenQ Joybook R45 has been officially released. It comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 2.1GHz processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8400M G graphics card, 4GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB 5400RPM Hard Drive, a Dual Layer DVD Super-Multi Drive, a 14.1″ WXGA (1280×800) Widescreen, 2.0-Megapixel Webcam, Wireless LAN, bluetooth, 4-in-1 card reader, and Windows Vista. Germany’s Cizmo will be dropping a new Centrino 2 laptop called the CX15. It features either a P8400, P8600, or P9400 Core 2 Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX graphics, DDR3 RAM, optional Blu-ray drive, an eSATA port, and a 32GB or 64GB SSD drive. The CX15 should hit Europe the beginning of June for €1,499 or a bit over $2,400. [Engadget]
