Fukato will be releasing their new Datacask laptop. It comes in black and white and features an 8-inch, 800 x 480 display, a 500MHz AMD Geode CPU, a 20GB 60GB hard drive, 512MB of RAM, and a Linux-based OS. Look for this cheap laptop on European shelves in May for €279 or $440. [Liliputing]

Samsung will be releasing an new Aura model called the R410. It features a 14.1-inch, 1,280 x 800 display, 45nm Penryn CPUs, ATI Radeon Xpress 1250M graphics, a DVD burner, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, built-in WiFi and bluetooth, and a welcome ExpressCard slot. The R410 is going for about £499 or $1,000. The Aura R410 will hit Europe in May. [Engadget]

Gateway has announced that the gaming powerhouse laptop is now available along with the $999.99 M-6850FX. The laptop features a Core 2 Duo T5550 CPU, an ATI Radeon HD 2600 graphics chipset, 3GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and a DVD-R / RW / DVD-RAM optical drive. The other ones are the $849.99 M-1626 and $749.99 T-1628. The first features a 15.4-inch display, an AMD Turion TL-60 CPU, ATI Radeon HD x1270 graphics, 4GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive,and HDMI. The other comes with a 14.1-inch display, AMD CPU and ATI graphics chipset, 3GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and wireless and HDMI support. Gateway has dropped a new pen-based configuration called the C-142XL ($1,299.99) which comes with a Core 2 Duo T8300 CPU, ATI Radeon X2300 HD GPU, 3GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and a Wacom pen for input. Asus will be releasing the new Z37S notebook which supports an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and NVIDIA mobile GPU technology, has a built-in 2.0 Mega-Pixel rotating webcam, an e-SATA connector and a 4-in-1 card reader (MMC/ SD/ Memory Stick/ MS Pro). The Z37S allows users to simultaneously have working bluetooth peripherals on their system such as mice, keyboards, headsets, and mobile phones along with security features like a built-in fingerprint scanner that reads from the live layer of the skin, so the scanner wont be put off by skin surface conditions. Sharp will be releasing the new PC-FW50X Mebius which is going for about ¥150,000 or $1,467 featuring a 15.4-inch WXGA (1,280 x 800) panel, 2GHz Mobile Sempron 3600+ processor, 2GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, dual-layer DVD burner, PCMCIA slot, four USB 2.0 ports and a 4-pin FireWire connector, wifi, Ethernet, a multicard reader, VGA output and a rechargeable Li-ion.
