MSI has upgraded its X340 notebook with a new 8-cell battery that provides a longer battery life (9 hours on a singe charge). The laptop will still have the same 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 ULV processor, but MSI is dropping the price from $899 to $799. Nice, that is a pretty good upgrade. I know a 4 cell battery is a detractor for any laptop or netbook. Seems like they know what they are doing, bumping up the battery life and dropping the price. The x-slim looks pretty nice too.
