Dell has just unveiled two new Vostro laptops designed specifically to meet the needs of institutions on limited budgets in the world’s emerging economies. Which means it may not be available in the U.S or Europe at least for the time being. The affordable laptops come in the form of Vostro 14,1″ A840 and 15,6″ A860 model. Both feature optional Celeron to Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 120GB/160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi Connectivity, and DVD Burner. They will also come with choice of Ubuntu® Linux® or Microsoft® Genuine Windows Vista® operating systems. Pricing for the new Vostro products will vary by configuration and country. [Dell]
