Dell’s AMD Quad-Core Inspiron M501R Laptop

The Dell Inspiron M501R is a 15.6-inch laptop that uses the latest AMD Phenom II X4 “Champlain” mobile processor. In case you didn’t know, the Phenom II X4 is a Quad Core CPU with a clock speed of up to 2.3GHz. Weighing 5.83 pounds, the Dell Inspiron M501R also uses either a 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v graphics, a 720p HD-capable display, an integrated 1,3MP webcam, a DVD burner and an optional Blu-ray drive. Other features include a couple of speakers, 802.11n WiFi, optional Bluetooth, Ethernet LAN, three USB ports, an eSATA/USB port, optional 7-in-1 media card reader, VGA and HDMI outputs, a full-size keyboard with numeric pad and a standard 6-cell battery. The Dell Inspiron M501R will be available later this summer in the U.S. No word on pricing at this time. [Laptoping]
