Word has it that Acer will release the 15-inch ultrabook in the near future. This forthcoming ultrabook will feature a fiberglasss chassis, which reduces the final price of ultrabook. What’s more, the 15-inch Acer ultrabook will be based on Intel’s Ivy Bridge processor. The company will release the 15-inch ultrabook in April or May 2012. We will keep you posted. Acer will release a new version of its Aspire One AOD270 netbook that comes equipped with an Intel Atom N2600 processor. Specs-wise, this mini laptop will feature a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 LCD display, a 1.60GHz Intel Atom N2600 dual-core processor, an Intel NM10 Express Chipset, a 1GB DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a webcam, a card reader, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 + HS, a 6-cell battery and run on Windows 7 Starter OS. This new version of the Aspire One AOD270 will become available from March 23rd for around 40,000 Yen (about $479). [Acer]

Available in 11.6-inch, 14-inch and 15.6-inch models, the laptop comes jam packed with an Intel Core processor, an nVidia GeForce GT graphics, an optical drive, LAN/VGA combo ports and USB 3.0 ports. Acer has introduced the Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 at the CeBIT tradeshow in Hannover, Germany. Measuring just 20mm thin, the new ultrabook comes equipped with the latest Intel Core processor and a dedicated nVidia GeForce GT640M graphics for enhanced content creation and consumption. The Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 also features the Acer Green Instant-On that provides fast resume in 1.5 seconds from sleep mode, a DVD player/burner and Dolby Home Theater v4 premium speakers for music, movies and games. The FCC Has Approved Acer Aspire One D270 Cedar Trail Netbook
