NEC claims its new Versa S9100 laptop to be the “toughest notebook in the world”. Its top cover is specially built to withstand a massive 300Kgs per square foot of pressure. However, the keyboard itself is not water resistant, too bad for a “toughest notebook in the world”. Overall, I’m very impressed with this laptop. It is great for me to carry around, take on flights or to school everyday. It’s a great laptop for business but also has a lot of consumer oriented features. The widescreen is great for viewing worksheets side-by-side or watching movies. The fingerprint reader provides extra security for the business user. I’d recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a notebook that is very durable, light and powerful. It’s not too expensive price makes it a good option for the business user or student, looking for portability, durability, and performance, but not gaming.
The Toshiba Satellite Pro U200 is powered by either a 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo T2300E or a 1.83 GHz T2400 processor. It features 1GB of DDR2-533 SDRAM, up to 100GB HDD, and a DVD±R/RW drive.
