Apple today released AirPort Extreme Update 2007-004 via its Software Pane and on the Web. AirPort Extreme is the perfect wireless solution for home, school, and business. Apple says that this update is “recommended for all Intel-based MacBook, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini computers and improves the reliability of AirPort connections.”

MacScoop claims that Apple will release “a notebook that is so small and light that it could redefine the standards of ultra-portable computing.” The new version of Apple notebook is said to feature a 12 inch display, 0.6-0.7 inches thick, and weigh less than 3 pounds. For your info, Apple’s current 15 inch MacBook Pro weighs 5.4lbs with a 1 inch thickness.

CrunchGear has reported that the upcoming Apple MacBooks will be featuring iPhone’s multi touch technology. The feature will be built into the touchpads, allowing you to navigate through your notebook’s files, applications, etc. the same way you can on the iPhone. They also reported a week ago that new Apple MacBooks models are expected to come in October with about half the thickness of current models and made from new plastics/materials.

The new range of MacBook Pros are finally here. The 15 inch version has a mercury-free, power-efficient LED-backlit display while the 17 inch model has an optional high-resolution display. Both MacBook Pros comes jam packed with an integrated iSight video camera, Apple’s MagSafe power adapter, integrated 802.11n WiFi connectivity, and Intel’s latest Santa Rosa platform.
