It features a 14-inch widescreen display with 1280-by-768 pixel resolution, Intel Celeron M Processor 370 at 1.5 GHz, a 256MB DDR2 memory expandable up to 1GB, a 40GB hard drive, and a Combo optical drive. It has the integrated VIA PN800 graphics, a 5.1-channel sound system, as well as Ethernet LAN and 802.11g wireless. This ultra-cheap laptop also comes with an optimized Linux operating system. Medison Celebrity’s laptop weighs around 4.85lbs with six-cell battery.

The Epson Endeaver NJ2050 low-cost laptop is using Microsoft’s Windows XP Home Edition operating system and boasts a 1.73GHz Celeron processor, 40GB hard drive, and 256MB of RAM. Unfortunately, this laptop has only a standard CD-ROM drive. It’s a great laptop for those who don’t need those expensive notebooks with high specs. The Epson NJ2050 retails for around $590.

Hewlett Packard’s 510 laptops series are now available in the United States. The laptops come with 512MB of DDR2 memory and with 60GB 5400rpm hard drive. The cheaper Celeron model (RU961AA) incorporates combo drive, while the Pentium version (RX709AA) comes with DVD burner. Some HP 510 models are built upon Mobile Intel 915GM chipset, while others are based on 910GML chipset. Both chipsets provide Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 with up to 128MB of shared system memory. The retail price for Celeron 1.4GHz and Pentium 2.13GHz configurations are $565 and $699 respectively.
