The 15.4-inch widescreen HP Compaq Presario C501NR is another Windows Vista Home Basic laptop with the price tag less than $500. Priced at $499.99 after $100 instant off, it comes jam packed with a 1.73GHz Intel Celeron M, 512MB of DDR2 RAM, 80GB SATA HDD and a DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive. The C501NR also sports a built-in Ethernet LAN, an integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics with up to 64MB of shared memory, and a wireless LAN 802.11b/g and a 56k modem. However, this 6.6 lbs notebook PC doesn’t provide a PCMCIA PC Card slot or an ExpressCard slot.

The laptop sports a 15.4 inch screen, 1.46 GHz Celeron M processor, VIA Chrome9 HC integrated graphics, 512MB RAM, a 60G HD, and a DVD burner. In addition, its screen has a 1280 x 800 maximal resolution. Weighing 5.9lbs, the VA4101M also provides 802.11b/g wireless connection, Ethernet LAN, and a built-In 56k modem. Buy it now at WalMart!

It boasts a 1.5GHz VIA C7-M processor, 512MB of DDR2-533 memory, 40GB HDD, VIA UniChrome Pro integrated graphics, dual-layer DVD burner, and a 15.4 inch WXGA display. Other features include 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, three USB 2.0 ports, and a VGA port. And the most important part is its price which is just US$498. Everex includes a 3-cell lithium-ion batter that averages +1.5 hours of mobile computing.
