Mouse Computer of Japan introduced their latest notebook PC called the LuvBook J120S. That’s right! Love it or hate it, this laptop is going to be called a LuvBook. It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 processor, a 12.1 inch wide-screen WXGA LCD display, Intel 4965AGN WLAN, 1GB DDR2 memory (expandable up to 2GB), an 80GB SATA hard drive, 3 USB ports, and one Gigabit LAN port. The J120S also comes with Windows Vista Home Premium Edition operating system. Its DVD burner sports DVD+/-R, DVD+/-R and DVD+RW media. The LuvBook J120S retails for approx. $990.

Fujitsu comes back with a new LifeBook laptop designed for office users. The lappie has an optional Point and Write touchpad that allows you to take short notes and draw on selected applications with ease. Other features include a 2.0GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 processor, up to 4GB RAM, 120GB hard drive, dual layer DVD burner, ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 graphics card with 256MB memory, 802.11a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, and Windows Vista operating system. It is currently available for $1,149.

Gateway’s latest 14.1-inch T- and 15.4-inch M-series of multimedia laptops feature a dedicated precision-touch multimedia control panel with smooth-cut keys in the keyboard surround that provide one-touch access to digital media content. The laptops are based on Santa Rosa platform and adopt Core 2 Duo processor, 1920 x 1200 resolution, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 graphics card, DVD/HD DVD/Blu-ray player, fingerprint reader, 1.3MP camera, WiFi, and Bluetooth connectivity. Gateway will start selling M-6816 and T-6815 models from July 22 for approx. $900.

The LesanceNB AS301GW-C2D-TypeR from PC-Koubou features a Core 2 Duo T7300 running at 2GHz, 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD, 965PM Express chipset, 13.3 inches monitor (WXGA), DVD DL burner, 1GB Turbo Memory, A/B/N WiFi and 2MP webcam. Measuring 320mm x 235mm x 34.5mm, this laptop retails for approx. $1,200.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers has launched a new Esprimo laptop series that are targeting the mid-range professional business user market. These notebooks are all powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with the added advantage of UMTS connectivity and an excellent battery life of six hours. The ESPRIMO U9200, M9400, and D9500 come with 12.1 inch, 14.1 inch, and 15.4 inch displays, with the D9500 being marketed as a desktop replacement PC.
