The new business laptops by Dell called the Vostro 1510 and Vostro 1310 have dropped. The 15.4- and 13.3-inch models feature Intel CPUs (up to Core 2 Duos), 4GB of RAM, 80GB to 250GB hard drives. The 1510 is $599 and the 1310 is $749. [Laptoping]
According to Avian securities, Dell claims that the 20 to 30% return rates for SSD laptops. They say that the “global reliability data shows that SSD drives are equal to or better than traditional hard disk drives ever shipped.” They also state that the failure and return rates are a result of wanting better and more advanced technology. Dell has announced that their XPS M1530 model is receiving a Core 2 Duo T8300, T9300 and T9500 to its XPS M1530. The 2.4GHz, 2.5GHz and 2.6GHz chips cost about $75, $200 and $475 and can be ordered at this moment. [Configure]
