After weeks of speculations on the internet, Dell has finally released their Inspiron Mini 9 netbook (aka Dell Inspiron 910), which is now available to order on their micro-website. The full specs $449 netbook features Intel Atom 1.6GHz CPU, 8GB SSD, 1GB RAM, Bluetooth 2.1, Windows XP and a 1.3-megapixel webcam. You get to choose optional white casing by adding $25. While the Linux Ubuntu version costs slightly less at $349. It will hit shelves at September 16th. [Gizmodo]

Dell Vostro A840/A860

Dell has just unveiled two new Vostro laptops designed specifically to meet the needs of institutions on limited budgets in the world’s emerging economies. Which means it may not be available in the U.S or Europe at least for the time being. The affordable laptops come in the form of Vostro 14,1″ A840 and 15,6″ A860 model. Both feature optional Celeron to Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 120GB/160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi Connectivity, and DVD Burner. They will also come with choice of Ubuntu® Linux® or Microsoft® Genuine Windows Vista® operating systems. Pricing for the new Vostro products will vary by configuration and country. [Dell]

The Dell Inspiron 910 (aka Mini Inspiron and Inspiron Mini) specs have been leaked on the internet. The new 910 will support SSDs up to 16GB and has internals with rooms for extension. 910 will feature Intel Atom N270 DiamondVille, and is running on 512 MB DDR2 RAM Up To 1 GB and an optional VGA or 1.3-megapixel cameras. The rumor has it 910 will launch on August 22nd. Everyone is anxiously waiting for Dell to confirm the $299 price. [Gizmodo]

Instant Boot Mode on The Latest Dell Latitude

Dell Latitude E4200 / E4300

Dell has unveiled a new technology that will allow users to access few basic applications without having to boot up windows. E4200 and E4300 both feature Dell Latitude ON, an instant boot mode for email, contacts, internet, etc. The new Latitude systems promise a whopping 19 hours of battery life. They will also come with Hardware disk encryption, Dell ControlVault, fingerprint readers and other security stuff. The E4200 is a 12.1-inch laptop that starts at 1.0k while the 13.3-inch Latitude E4300 has a starting weight of 1.54 kg both models are expected later in the year. In addition to Mica-Brushed Metal, the Latitude E4200, E4300 will be available with Regatta Blue, Regal Red and Quartz Pink (E4200 only) in the coming weeks. No Words on price yet. [Pocket-Lint]
