Samsung has just launched another laptop as a contender in the lightweight arena. Samsung X360 weighs at only 2.8-pounds and 0.66-inches thick, seems to want to compete directly with Macbook Air. X360 features Intel Centrino 2 Processor, 128 GB Solid State Drive (SSD), up to 4 GB RAM, built-in HDMI connection, a 34mm express card slot and VGA output. It also comes with integrated 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless connectivity. Samsung claims the laptop can stay up for 10 hours after a single recharge. It will hit shelves around September, costing approximately between $2200 and $3000. [TechDigest]

Both Q1U-CMXP and Q1UP-V are very light, small and slim, weighing less than 2 lbs. They support all PC application wherever you go. Now includes Windows Vista Business Edition, the model currently is powered by Intel Centrino Solo, with 2 GB of RAM, and 80 GB of HDD, accessible through 7″ touch screen at 1024 x 600 resolution. They also come with built in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The latest Intel ultra low voltage CPU allows up to 7 hours of continuous run time on battery. Samsung will be releasing an new Aura model called the R410. It features a 14.1-inch, 1,280 x 800 display, 45nm Penryn CPUs, ATI Radeon Xpress 1250M graphics, a DVD burner, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, built-in WiFi and bluetooth, and a welcome ExpressCard slot. The R410 is going for about £499 or $1,000. The Aura R410 will hit Europe in May. [Engadget]

Samsung has just announced that they will be dropping another basic laptop called the P200. It comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 graphics card, a 12.1″ display, 1.3 megapixel webcam,bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, and a 6-in-1 memory card reader.
