Sharp's Mebius PC-NJ70A With An LCD Trackpad

Sharp has rolled out its latest laptop in the form of the Mebius PC-NJ70A that comes with an LCD trackpad supporting a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels and has the capability to adjust brightness based on surrounding light. This trackpad also doubles as a secondary display for applications like calculator, media player, games etc. As for the specs itself, the system offers a 10.1-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, Multicard reader, Ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing yet, but word on the street puts it right around ¥80,000 ($817). Read more

Sharp and Willcom have recently released the Willcom D4 or WSO16H UMPC. Weighing at only 470grams and measuring 84mm x 188mm x25.9mm, the gadget features with 1Gb of RAM, 40GB of HDD, a Centrino Atom Z520 (1.33GHz), a 5 inch Touch screen (1024×600) LCD with LED Backlight, Wifi B/G and Bluetooth 2.0 EDR. Sharp PC-FW50X Laptops

Sharp will be releasing the new PC-FW50X Mebius which is going for about ¥150,000 or $1,467 featuring a 15.4-inch WXGA (1,280 x 800) panel, 2GHz Mobile Sempron 3600+ processor, 2GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, dual-layer DVD burner, PCMCIA slot, four USB 2.0 ports and a 4-pin FireWire connector, wifi, Ethernet, a multicard reader, VGA output and a rechargeable Li-ion.
