HP WebOS Tablet Will be Launched in 2011

The timing is still being rumored and guessed around, but HP’s first webOS-based tablet has managed to found itself a launch window as assumption has been made by analysts rather than official word from the company. BMO Capital Markets analyst Keith Bachman after having met with Asian tech sources recently, believes the webOS tablet will be launched somewhere around March 2011. So far, the slate is on tracking for release somewhere in 2011, the only thing that HP Confirmed. Rumors has it that OEM Inventec will be producing the tablet for HP in Q1 next year. Even though it’s hard to see how it could worth more than the HP Slate 500, Bachman describes the tablet as a “niche market” for HP. [Slashgear]

Microsoft Windows 8 New slate PC

Microsoft’s preparing on how to target iPad with the help of Samsung and Dell after a one year absence on tablet PC market. One of the demos being showed was a new sliding keyboard by Samsung which is a totally different device than Samsung Galaxy tab with its 10.1 inches Gloria. The Samsung tablet will run on a Software layer when it’s on portrait mode and when the keyboard is not sliding out. Microsoft also said that it’s going to be running on a central application instead of having a partner companies building a HTML-5 web based application. So far the rumor tells that this device will still be running on Windows 7 even though the rumors of Microsoft Windows 8 are already in the air. This product will be launched somewhere in the middle of 2011 along with the Microsoft’s Windows 8. This product surely will bring the competition up and about for tablet PC in the near future. Mini iPad Half The Size of Current Model

Apple has been famously renowned as a “Never Say Never” kind of company. The 7-inch tablet that has been rumored to be ended in making and producing turns out getting the owner of Apple “Steve Jobs” attention once again. They are now working in a smaller iPad with half its current size. Details on this very product is still minimal, even so, rumor spread that it will come in a size between the current 9.7 inch iPad and the size of iPod touch. This higher resolution LCD based with dual cameras is rumored to be launched in April 2011 with the price to be announced later. [Slashgear]

More Info About Lenovo LePad Tablet

Here is good news for those who are living in China. Lenovo will launch the Android-based Lenovo LePad in China by the end of the year. Lenovo will also release more info about this gadget later this year. Word has it that the Lenovo LePad is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a 10-inch multitouch display. The 10.1-inch tablet PC comes equipped with an Intel ultra-low voltage processor, the Microsoft Windows 7 Professional OS, an integrated light-sensitive sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness of the display according to the ambient light, and a LED-backlight multitouch display that supports multiple touch gestures with up to 4 fingers at the same time.
