Lenovo is introducing its latest 10″ machine into UMPC’s arena. Lenovo Ideapad S10 runs a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, up to 2GB of memory, the Intel 945 GSE Express chipset, and the GMA 950 graphics. It will come with standard features including two USB ports, Ethernet, a webcam, headphone jack, and a 4-in-1 card reader. This time you will also find ExpressCard slot for WWAN expansion on the S10, the fact that only other UMPC has this, HP 2133 Mini-Note. When this model is shipping in October, it’ll be the cheapest UMPC to run Windows XP in the United States. There’ll be in two configurations, both running Windows XP, available for $399 and $449. It will offer both 80GB and 160GB configurations, spinning at 5,400 rpm. [PCMAG]
