Panasonic Toughbook U1 Ultra Rugged Tablet PC

Panasonic has added a new rugged tablet PC to its range by launching the Toughbook U1 Ultra. Featuring a magnesium alloy chassis, the Toughbook U1 Ultra is specifically designed for operating in generally extreme conditions and meets both the Military’s MIL-STD 810G and IP65 standards. As for the specs itself, the system is equipped with a 5.6-inch WSVGA sunlight-viewable touchscreen display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, a 2GB RAM, a 64GB SSD, a 2.0-megapixel auto-focus camera with dual LED lights, a fingerprint reader, GPS (optional), WiFi, Bluetooth, a 9-hour battery and runs on Windows 7 OS. The Toughbook U1 Ultra is now available in the US for $2,799. [Engadget]
