The Acer Aspire Gemstone Blue notebooks will be available soon in the US via authorized resellers and selected retailers. The Gemstone Blue line are claimed to be the first 18.4 inch and 16 inch laptops in the market with true High Definition cinematic capabilities. Taiwanese Acer has decided to release the Aspire 5920G-932G25 in the Japanese market. The 15.4-inch wide laptop is based on Intel’s Penryn platform and comes equipped with 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo T9500, 250GB HDD and 2GB RAM. The desktop replacement also provides 1,280 x 800 WXGA resolution, 1.3MP webcam and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. The Acer 5920G will be available on 6th March 2008 for around $1,645. [Aving]
Acer will release a new notebook in Japan called the AS5520-7A1G16. It features a 15.4-inch screen and a 1,280 x 800 WXGA resolution. It runs on AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor and has 1GB memory and 160GB HDD. Acer has released it in Japan for USD$930.
Known as the panoramic laptop, the Acer Aspire 7720 gemstone laptop features a widescreen display (a glossy 17-incher), a Core 2 Duo Processor T5450 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS graphics, and of course Gemstone design.

Acer has released the Aspire 7720G and the 2920, and the Ferrari 1100. The Acer Aspire 7720G is a $3,000 laptop with a 17-inch screen, ATI Mobility Radeon HD2300 graphics card, and running a 2.2GHz Santa Rosa chip. The Aspire 2920 is a 12.1-inch model, featuring Core 2 Duo CPUs, and Intel GMA X310 graphics. The last one is the Ferrari 1100, featuring another 12.1-inch screen, a 2.3GHz Turion 64 X2 TL-66 processor, LED backlighting, and the usual Ferrari styling.

The 15.4-inch Acer Aspire 5520 laptop is designed by BMW Group design team for regular home users. The laptop is powered by AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-52/56/60/64/66 processor, Nvidia 8400M G (128MB VRAM) or 7000M graphics card, up to 4GB RAM, max 250GB hard drive, dual layer DVD burner, webcam, 802.11b/g wireless, Bluetooth, and Windows Vista operating system. It also features ceramic coated echelon-type keyboard and Dolby home theater system. The Acer Aspire 5520 laptop is priced at around $1000.
