The all-new 17 inch MacBook Pro comes jam packed with a 1900 x 1200 LED backlit display, with a 700:1 contrast ratio, a 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo / 6MB L2 cache, 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 memory, Nvidia GeForce 9400M/ Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT / 512MB, 320GB hard drive and slot-loading SuperDrive. According to rumors, the new 17-inch MacBook Pro will be announced at Macworld. The new version is expected to have a slim, extended-life, non-removable battery. The laptop features a “super slim” battery that can’t be removed, not unlike the MacBook Air. Sadly, there is no further info about this new MacBook Pro. Stay tuned for more details. [Apple Insider]

Apple today released a new patch for its Mac OS X with some of the following notable improvements including automatic MobileMe syncing that begins within a minute of making changes to your contacts, calenders, or bookmarks. The new update also offers better performance for AT&T 3G cards, ratcheted-up DVD player performance, boosts AirPort reliability in large wireless networks, fixes for fuzzy gaming playback with some ATI graphics card, better Mail functionality and removal of the iChat bug that boots you if you set your status as “invisible”.
