
The Apple MacBook Air is now priced at $2598, down from the $3098. The cut is a result of price cuts to two separate components including the 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor upgrade by $100 to just $200 and the Flash memory-based 64GB SSD drive upgrade to $599 from $999. According to rumors, Apple’s MacBooks will come with an LED-backlit display next year. However, there is no official announcement from the company.
