
Asus has officially announced the availability of its first ION-powered laptop for the US market. Priced at $499, the Eee PC 1201N features a 12-inch (1366 x 768) LCD display with an nVidia ION graphics card, a 250GB hard drive, and an Intel Atom 330 dual core processor. The Asus UL30Vt is actually a successor to the previously released Asus UL30. Powered by Windows 7 as its operating system, the new model comes jam packed with a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron processor or a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an Intel GMA X4500MHD graphics chip or and nVidia GeForce G210M 512MB graphics card, a 2GB of DDR3 RAM (upgradable up to 4GB), a 13.3-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768, and up to 500GB of hard disk drive.
