TG Sambo has released its new 13.1-inch wide notebook PC in South Korea in order to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Averatec brand. Dubbed as the Averatec Star, the laptop weights 1.7Kg and measures 1cm thick. It comes in aluminum finish with silver color and is powered by an Intel Centrino 2 processor with 3GB RAM and 320GB HDD. Good news for those who lived in Japan. Averatec has decided to launch its new Averatec netbook in the Japanese market on October 15th, 2008. The new Averatec AVN0270N is powered by a 10.2-Inch LCD Screen with a WSGA resolution (1,024×600), a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, up to 2GB, and 160GB of HDD. I think it is better than the Asus Eee-PC. The netbook also features Microsoft Windows XP home, 3 USB ports, a multicard reader, WiFi b/g, 1.3MP camera and a battery life span of 2.5 hours.
