Dell will be dropping a new laptop called the Latitude XFR D630. The D630 is capable of working in the most extreme temperatures, moisture, and altitudes, with support for solid state drives, traditional hard drives thanks to the shock-isolated mounting, a sealed keyboard protecting it from rain and dust, along with 500 nits of brightness and an optional integrated resistive touch screen technology. It looks like you’ll be paying a high price of $3,899 and beyond depending on configuration. [Dell]

The Inspiron 1526 is now available for $750 (after discount) at best buy. The 1526 Inspirion features a 15.4” display, 1280×800, AMD Turion 64 X2 (2Ghz), 2GB Memory, 250GB HDD, and ATI Radeon Express 1270 (integrated). [Link]

Dell has updated their XPS line with the M1730, now available with two of the fastest mobile graphics chips. It has a Core 2 Extreme X9000 mobile CPU running at 2.8GHz, a pair of GeForce 8800M GTX cards in SLI, and two 200GB 7200 RPM drives in RAID 0 configuration. The XPS M1730 is said to be the “fastest mobile CPU on the market”. Unfortunately the price is about $4,500 but it should be worth it.

The Dell XPS concept is said to not be the most portable laptop and wont go out of their way to give you a 16:9 panel, instead it has 16:10 which isn’t as good. Video after the break.

Dell will release the Vostro 1200 notebook computer on December 18. However, the specs of the laptop are still unknown. According to Laptoping, the new laptop is an ultraportable with a 12-inch display and a built-in optical drive. FYI, the Vostro laptop lineup is designed for business customers, and includes the Intel-based 1400, 1500, and 1700 models, and the AMD-powered Vostro 1000.
