Here comes laptop that is not just looking green from the outside, but also on the inside and more, introducing Bamboo Series Notebook from ASUS. The company claims throughout every phase of the laptop’s life – from its conception, production and use to its eventual recycling and disposal, the bamboo-clad laptop is truly green. In developing the laptop, the company enforced its management to utilize tools that strictly adhered to the green principles. The Bamboo Series will come in both 12.1- and 11.1-inch variants, weighing 1.57kg and 1.25kg, respectively. Both will feature Intel Core 2 Duo processors, DDR2 RAM, and LED-backlit displays, with minor hardware differences for each. Samsung has just launched another laptop as a contender in the lightweight arena. Samsung X360 weighs at only 2.8-pounds and 0.66-inches thick, seems to want to compete directly with Macbook Air. X360 features Intel Centrino 2 Processor, 128 GB Solid State Drive (SSD), up to 4 GB RAM, built-in HDMI connection, a 34mm express card slot and VGA output. It also comes with integrated 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless connectivity. Samsung claims the laptop can stay up for 10 hours after a single recharge. It will hit shelves around September, costing approximately between $2200 and $3000. [TechDigest]

Just yesterday, ASUS has come up with an entirely new concept for their laptop. Not only the compact and stylish F6 engages the eyes with attractive motifs and but it will also for the first time be infused with scents. The 13″ ASUS F6 features Intel® Centrino® 2 processor technology, with up to 4GBF6 DDRII-667/800 DRAM support, ATI Mobility Radeon HD3470, external 256MB DDR2 VRAM, and optional SATA 120/160/250/320GB. It will be available in four captivating designs, namely; Floral Blossom, Musky Black, Morning Dew, Aqua Ocean. The F6 is also further equipped with a fingerprint scanner that takes data access authorization and protection to a higher level with its biometric accuracy. Toshiba will be releasing a new laptop called the G55 next month for $1,550. The G55 comes with an 18.4-inch (1680 x 945) display, Centrino 2 CPU, GeForce 9600M GT, 4GB of RAM, dual drives, and the “Quad Core HD processor” powering many media functions including the camera-based visual gesture control system.
