
The new range of MacBook Pros are finally here. The 15 inch version has a mercury-free, power-efficient LED-backlit display while the 17 inch model has an optional high-resolution display. Both MacBook Pros comes jam packed with an integrated iSight video camera, Apple’s MagSafe power adapter, integrated 802.11n WiFi connectivity, and Intel’s latest Santa Rosa platform. The 2.2GHz 15 inch MacBook Pro, 2.4GHz 15 inch MacBook Pro, and 2.4GHz 17 inch MacBook Pro will retail for $1,999, $2,499, and $2,799 respectively. Hit the jump to read the list of specifications.

General Dynamics Itronix rolled out the GoBook VR-2, its next-gen semi-rugged notebook PC equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7300 running at 2GHz. The laptop comes equipped with a 13.3 inch display with DynaVue, a patent-pending display technology that allows for comfortable viewing in all lighting conditions. The GoBook VR-2 is being targeted at mobile workers and field agents in commercial/military/public safety areas. Weighing in at 6.2 pounds, it can withstand a rated 6 drops from 30 inches. Other features include Integrated WWAN, Bluetooth Class 2 connectivity and 802.11 a/b. The GoBook VR-2 retails for $3,500 for the base configuration.

The new Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 adopts Intel’s latest Santa Rosa platform. The laptops provides a 15.4 inch display, NVIDIA GeForce 8400M graphics card, a 120GB hard drive, an integrated 1.3MP webcam, USB 2.0, and memory stick/SD card slots. The Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 SD20VP will be priced at approx. $1700, while the Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 SD22VP at around $1900. They are currently available in Korea.

Dell Ispiron E1505 will be the Company’s first consumer notebook PC that comes pre-loaded with Linux operating system. The company will be launching this laptop starting next Thursday, 24th May 2007. In case you didn’t know, Ubuntu 7.04 is the latest version of this popular Linux distribution. Dell Ispiron E1505 comes equipped with a 15.4-inch widescreen display, and Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Pricing info is still in a mystery.

Toshiba Japan introduced the Dynabook Satellite T30 in Japan. The business notebook is powered by 1.60Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 processor, Intel 945GM Express chipset, and comes with 80GB hard drive, 512MB RAM and DVD-Combo drive. The T30 sports 4 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x Firewire, Ethernet and audio slots. Unfortunately, it has not fingerprint reader, Bluetooth, and card reader. Measuring 362mm × 267.8mm × 39.3mm, the Toshiba Dynabook Satellite T30 retails for $1400 in Japan.

The mid-range white model steps up to 2.16 GHz, a 120GB drive, 1GB of RAM, and an 8x SuperDrive. The high-end black model also runs at 2.16 GHz, a 160GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, and also provides an 8x SuperDrive. In addition, these new version of MacBook features Apple’s award-winning iLife software suite. The pricing starts at just $1099.
