MSI will be releasing a new laptop calleWind comes with an XP system, LED-backlit, 8.9- and 10-inch 1,024 x 600 displays, 80GB, 2.5-inch hard disk, as well as a superior keyboard and battery life. No word on the price or availability, but it is said to perhaps release in June for a range of $470-$1,099. [DigiTimes]
Asus will be releasing a new gaming laptop called the G1Sn in Japan. It features an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz processor, 250GB hard drive, 2GB RAM, a 15.4″ 1,440 x 900 resolution display, and Windows Vista Home Edition. It comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 2.1GHz processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8400M G graphics card, 4GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB 5400RPM Hard Drive, a Dual Layer DVD Super-Multi Drive, a 14.1″ WXGA (1280×800) Widescreen, 2.0-Megapixel Webcam, Wireless LAN, bluetooth, 4-in-1 card reader, and Windows Vista. Germany’s Cizmo will be dropping a new Centrino 2 laptop called the CX15. It features either a P8400, P8600, or P9400 Core 2 Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX graphics, DDR3 RAM, optional Blu-ray drive, an eSATA port, and a 32GB or 64GB SSD drive. The CX15 should hit Europe the beginning of June for €1,499 or a bit over $2,400. [Engadget]
Fukato will be releasing their new Datacask laptop. It comes in black and white and features an 8-inch, 800 x 480 display, a 500MHz AMD Geode CPU, a 20GB 60GB hard drive, 512MB of RAM, and a Linux-based OS. Look for this cheap laptop on European shelves in May for €279 or $440. [Liliputing]
