According to rumors, Apple’s MacBooks will come with an LED-backlit display next year. However, there is no official announcement from the company. In case you didn’t know, Apple is already including LEDs in its MacBook Pro and MacBook Air lines. LEDs offer superior brightness, color and longer battery life. [MacRumors]

There is a rumor which said that Apple will release a new 13 inch ultra-portable MacBook at the Macworld Expo and Conference 2008. This new slim MacBook will not have the CD/ DVD drive, so you will need an portable disk drive if you want to transfer plenty of media from CD/ DVD to this ultra-portable MacBook. Other features include a new 13 inch LCD panels that boast LED backlights and integrated NAND flash drives.
