BenQ Joybook Lite U101 Netbook

BenQ has updated its netbook lineup with the new Joybook Lite U101. It features 10.1″ 1,024 x 600 display (an 8.9-inch version will also be available), 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, a hard drive of unspecified size, a 3-cell battery, and optional 3G. U101 will run on optional Windows XP or Linux operating system. The 8.9-inch and 10.1-inch versions will hit retail shop in October and November for an undisclosed price. [Engadget]

Raon has finally revealed the pricing for its latest Everun Note “UMPC notebook”. Everun features AMD Turion 64×2 Dual Core at 1.2GHz, 1GB DDR2 RAM, ATI RS690E with 64MB DDR2 VGA, 7″ 1024*600 LCD. It also comes with optional 12GB SSD and 80GB 1.8″ hard disk, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, 1.3M pixel CMOS Camera, SD/MMC slot, and more. With such specs, it is definitely not intended for newbies who might opt for less sophistication in a small package. Everun Note will retail with suggested price of $879, considerably well below the likes of VAIO UX, but abit higher than your average netbooks. It comes with dimension of only 7.87″ wide for 4.65″ weighing at 748gm, making it one of the most pocketable netbooks around. [UMPCPortal]

Commodore Netbook UMMD 8010/F

Commodore has debuted UMMD 8010/F as their first attempt in the Netbook market, shown off at IDF in Berlin. The 10-inch Netbook will feature a 1.6GHz VIA C7-M processor, an 80GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, built-in WiFi, and optional Bluetooth. It will retail for approximately $600, which may not be too competitive price-wise. Availability date is still unknown, but we’ll keep you posted. [Engadget]

MiTAC MiStation Netbook

MiTaC MiStation Netbook

MiTAC the company that owns Mio and Navman has recently launched netbooks at IFA in Berlin. The new model, called the MiStation, will feature 8.9″ screen and powered by 1.6Ghz Intel Atom processor. It will also come with 20GB SSD or 60GB hard drive, optional Windows XP or Linux and the usual array of connectivity options including wireless (b and g) and Bluetooth 2. Other tech specs include a 1.3 megapixel webcam, 3 USB 2.0 ports, an SD card slot, and VGA out. The model will be hitting Europe at the end of November and prices will start from £282 for the 60GB Linux version. The 20GB SSD model would cost around £400 a spokesperson for the company said. ASUS Exclusive N10 Netbook

ASUS N10 Netbook

Asus has revealed the higher-end 10.2-inch netbook that is simply labeled “N10″ without carrying the Eee brand, which probably is an attempt to introduce the netbook as part of luxury division lineup. It will come in a more elegant casing, with 10.2-inch display running at 1024 x 768, Altec Lansing speakers, HDMI out, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA, what looks to be an ExpressCard slot and an SDHC slot. Connectivity will include Bluetooth and WiFi; there’s also a built-in webcam and fingerprint reader. Price and availability is TBD, but DigiTimes are predicting the N10 will retail between €300 to €400 ($446 to $595). We’ll keep you posted for more development. [SlashGear]

CTL will now be dropping the 2GO PC. It comes with an Intel Celeron M CPU, 915GMS chipset, 512MB of RAM, a 9-inch, 800 x 480 LCD display, 40GB hard drive, 802.11b/g, SD / MMC reader, and standard ports and jacks. The systems run XP and have a VGA webcam, three hours usage time between charges. Look for the 2Go in about a couple months for $400. [Engadget]
