
Logitec Japan is out with a new portable DVD player to accompany your netbook. Powered by USB, the drive is capable of reading both single layer as well as dual layer DVD. In addition, it also serves as a ‘boot drive’ in case your hard drive crashes and you need to reinstall the operating system. It’ll be available in Japanese market starting October for $55. More

Kojinsha Korea introduced its new Ultra Mobile PC in the Korean market. Known as the K600/K800, this swivel type UMPC comes equipped with a 7-inch glare type LCD with 1024 x 600 resolution and a notebook PC keyboard. This portable device is powered by Windows Vista operating system and utilities 600MHz Intel Processor A100 CPU with 512MB RAM-DDR2, 80GB hard disk drive, and 8MB Graphic-945GU Express. Other features included Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, a touch screen, a 1.3MP webcam, a 4-in-1 multi-card reader slot and a built-in T-DMB module. No word on pricing so far.
