
The Lenovo Ideapad S10-2 is now available with a higher resolution 1280 x 720 pixel display. Priced at 349 Euros ($499), the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 M21BCGE comes jam packed with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, a 10.1 inch display, a 1GB of RAM, a 160G hard drive, a 6 cell battery, a 1.3MP webcam, three USB ports, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 4-in-1 card reader. Nokia will release their first 10-inch netbook namely the Nokia Booklet 3G. The netbook features an Intel Atom processor with an “HD ready” LCD display, an integrated A-GPS, Ovi Maps software, and HDMI out. The Nokia Booklet 3G also has a built in 3G/HSPA and Wi-Fi that will provide high speed Internet access on the go. Its battery provides up to 12-hours of operation time, which is impressive. MSI has upgraded its X340 notebook with a new 8-cell battery that provides a longer battery life (9 hours on a singe charge). The laptop will still have the same 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Solo SU3500 ULV processor, but MSI is dropping the price from $899 to $799. However, if you are already an owner of the MSI X340 with a 4-cell battery, you can also buy a higher capacity battery for just $99. [LaptopMag]

China-based Lanyu starts selling the cheapest netbook in the market today. The Lanyu eBook LY-EB01 is a 7-inch netbook with a QWERTY keyboard and an 800 x 480 pixel LCD display. The laptop comes jam packed with a 266MHz ARM-based processor and runs on Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 OS. The Lanyu eBook LY-EB01 is priced at just $97 (without wireless) or $106 (with wireless). Prolink is best known for making networking hardware. The company today released its first 10.1-inch netbook, the Prolink Glee TA-009, which is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, an internal HSUPA modem, and a 3 cell battery. It has a small touchpad with the left and right buttons pushed to the left and right sides instead of below the touchpad. Each Glee TA-009 retails for about $468 (after conversion). [Netbooked]

It seems that Hewlett-Packard has several new netbooks for 2009/2010 release. ODM Quanta Computer will start producing an 11.6-inch mini-notebook for them in August this year and a new 10.1-inch model at the end of 2009 for Hewlett-Packard.
