
Fujitsu has developed a palm-sized computer called the U810 (or U1010). This UMPC can be docked into a docking station with an external display and keyboard to get a true desktop experience. The U810 adopts an Intel A110 processor and provides an LCD screen with 1024×600 resolution, Intel TBD video graphics, 945GU Express chipset, and 1GB DDR2 RAM. Other features include a 1.8-inch 4200rpm hard drive, a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth, fingerprint reader, QWERTY keyboard, webcam, and Windows Vista operating system. It will be available from September with a starting price of $1000.

The gadget is powered by an AMD Geode LX900 featuring 600MHz of processing power and provides a QWERTY keypad, and 4.8″ 16.7 million colors Wide VGA LCD screen. Its high-capacity Lithium Ion batteries offers battery life of up to 12 hours. Everun adopts advanced wireless technology including HSDPA, WIMAX (802.16e Wibro), WiFi and Bluetooth. Acturion Datasys unveiled their new rugged ultra mobile PC for use in harsh environmental conditions. In case you didn’t know, Acturion Datasys is a German industrial and military mobile computing device vendor. According to the firm, the 8.4-inch Victum tablet 8 is resistant against drop, shock, vibration, high/ low temperature, rain, dust and sand. The gadget comes with light alloy metal housing and is powered by 1.2GHz Pentium M low voltage processor, up to 1.25GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, 800×600 resolution, a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth, built-in speakers, microphone, fingerprint reader, seven hours of battery life, and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. There is no word on pricing or availability yet.

Intel showed off its new concept UMPC at 2007 Computex in Taipei. Dubbed as Donley, the concept features a 5 inch touchscreen display that swivels, integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity and wireless WAN. The device also runs Windows Vista.

Intel has recently announced their new ultra mobile platform today. Dubbed as the IUMPC2007, the gadget offers two different processing chips; the smaller 600MHz A100, and the larger 800MHz A110. It will utilize the 946GU Express Chipset with Intel GMA850 graphics that will allow a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768 and up to 1GB of DDR2 Memory. No word on pricing yet.
