The Sony VAIO P netbook is claimed to be the world’s lightest 8-inch netbook. Weighing at just 1.4 pounds, this Vista-based netbook features unbelievable 1,600 x 768 resolution LED-backlit XBRITE-ECO LCD display, 802.11n WiFi, 3G WWAN, Bluetooth, webcam, a GPS module and Sony’s Xross Media Bar interface. Its battery offers four hours of battery life or eight hours with the optional high-capacity cell. The 2008 CEATEC in Japan is a platform for Sony to unveil their latest VAIO type-T ultralight laptop. Weighing at only 1.31Kg, the notebook PC comes jam packed with a 1.2GHz of Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor, a 11.1-inch LCD display with LED backlight (1,366 x 768), Blu-ray drive, and a HDMI port. The VAIO type T will be released on October 4th in Japan for ¥300,000. [AVING]
Sony is ready to release their new version of Sony Vaio NS laptop series. This budget notebook comes jam packed with some cool specs including an Intel 4500 integrated graphics chipset, Blu-ray combo drive, A/V menu, Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz processor, 3GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, and a built-in webcam. Available in blue, gray, and white, the new Sony Vaio NS will be released this Fall for $650 upwards, depending on the configuration. [Electronista]
Here are two new Sony VAIO Type A laptops. The AW70 and AW50 are powered by a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 with a 18.4 inch LCD Full HD (1920×1080 pixel), 2GB of RAM, 500GB HDD, an NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT video card, ABGN wireless LAN, a Blu-ray burner, and HDMI out.
