There’s not much to say about the Sony Vaio SZ pc’s right now accept that it’s now available in 5 different colors for the top so you can now choose 8 different body colors for you laptop. It’s not all that significant, but it sure is cool to personalize you laptop.

The VAIO FZ Graphic Splash Eco Edition is the 15.4-inch notebooks that adopt “Santa Rosa” platform. Available in “Caribbean Water, Clay Earth, Spotted Life and Bloom”, these desktop replacements retail for approx. $1,400 and will be available soon in limited quantities at Sony. The company will donate one percent of the price of each Graphic Splash Eco Edition notebook purchased to non-profit organizations working to preserve the environment via 1% For the Planet.

Sony today introduced another update to its BX Series, which sports Santa Rosa platform.The BX51 boasts a 15.4-inch 1280 x 800 “X-black” display, a 2GHz T7250 Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, and the usual range of Santa Rosa-related features.
You will also be able to get your choice of Windows XP Professional, which comes standard on the VGN-BX51XP model, or Windows Vista Business, which comes pre-installed on the VGN-BX51VN model. Additionally, the Sony VGN-BX51VN also adds built-in Bluetooth, a 1.3MP “Motion Eye” webcam, and a 160GB hard drive. These laptops will be available in Europe by the end of the month for around $1,600 to $1,880 depending on the configuration.

It seems that the new Sony VAIO NR laptops will be arriving soon. The laptops will come in two colors. The lower spec machine (VAIO VGN-NR11SS) comes in a silver finish with Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 Processor (1.5GHz, 2MB Cache, 667MHz FSB), while the higher spec machine (VAIO NR11Z/T) comes in a darker charcoal grey/black finish with Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 Processor (2GHz, 2MB Cache, 800MHz FSB). Both notebooks adopt the standard Intel X3100 graphics, a 200GB hard drives, ExpressCard and memory card slots. NotebookReview speculates that these Sony’s new NR series will be available this fall for at least $899 for the base configuration.

Sony has unveiled the Vaio C series which is designed to look like a shoulder bag and will be available in four glossy colors – pure white, red, indigo blue and luxury pink. This 13.3 inch laptop is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor at 2 Ghz, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard disk drive, DVD super drive, 1.3MP camera, and Bluetooth. Its battery offers up to 3.5 hours on a single charge. Measuring 335.1mm × 249mm × 38.3mm and weighing 2.5Kgs, the Vaio C series will go on sale from September 8th in Japan for $903.

Sony Korea has announced its Sony VGN-AR38L laptop. Priced at approximately $4300, it comes jam packed with a 17-inch wide display, HDMI terminal, 2GB 240GB hard drive of the DDR2 memory, audio storehouse output terminal of 5.1 Channel and an external speaker.
