Active Media has updates its SSD series for Asus Eee PC S101, 900, 900A, and 901. The SaberTooth S3 SSDs provides read speeds up to 95MB/sec and write speeds up to 70MB/sec. Toshiba’s 12.1-inch Dynabook SS RX2/WAJ is claimed to be the world’s first laptop with a 512GB SSD. The ultra portable notebook features a Core 2 Duo SU9400 CPU with a long 12-hour battery life. Buffalo External Enclosure For Eee PC 901 SSD

Buffalo releases a USB enclosure for its line of Eee PC 901 SSDs. Using this enclosure, you can plug in the USB module and copy an image of your internal SSD to the new module before swapping it out. Dell Denies 20-30% Returns on SSD Laptops

According to Avian securities, Dell claims that the 20 to 30% return rates for SSD laptops. They say that the “global reliability data shows that SSD drives are equal to or better than traditional hard disk drives ever shipped.” They also state that the failure and return rates are a result of wanting better and more advanced technology.
