Toshiba will release a new laptop from its Qosmio notebook series for the Japanese market in the end of July 2009. Dubbed as the Qosmio G50W/95JW, the laptop features a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 processor with a 4GB of RAM, a 500GB of HDD, an Intel PM45 Express Chipset, a 18.4-inch LCD screen with a Full HD resolution, and an nVidia GeForce 9600M GT with 512MB of VRAM. If you are interested, you should spend at least 304,800 Yen ($3,145) to purchase this laptop. [Toshiba]

Toshiba has added two new widescreen laptops to its range with the introduction of Satellite L500 and Satellite L550. Both machines are equipped with a choice of either an Intel Celeron / Pentium / Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon / Turion processor, a 500GB hard drive, a DVD burner, a VGA web camera supporting Toshiba’s Face Recognition software, an HDMI port, a 4-in-1 Bridge Media slot, two USB 2.0 ports, WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet and an additional eSATA/USB combo port. The main difference is that the L500 only comes with a 15.6-inch HD TruBrite display with 1366 x 768 resolution, meanwhile, the L550 offers a bigger 17.3-inch HD TruBrite display with power saving LED backlight technology, and a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. Both systems will be available in the third quarter of 2009 throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa. [PCLaunches]

Remember the Toshiba Mini NB205 netbook that we mentioned earlier this week? Toshiba America has finally announced its US availability starting late June for $349. In case you missed it, here’s a quick reminder, this mini laptop offers a 10.1-inch diagonal widescreen TruBrite backlit LED display, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, up to 2GB of RAM, a 160GB HDD with impact sensor, Windows XP Home OS, a built-in webcam, a 2-in-1 memory card slot, a security lock slot, a USB port with Sleep-and-Charge, two USB 2.0 ports, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 6-cell battery. Toshiba has added a new netbook to its range in the form of the NB205 that will soon make its way to the US. This mini laptop is packed with a 10.1-inch TruBrite LED-backlit LCD, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Windows XP OS, a 2-in-1 memory card slot, an RGB port, WiFi and a six-cell battery. The netbook is available in two different versions: the NB205-210 ($350) that only comes in black and has a full flat keyboard or the NB205-310 ($400) that comes in metallic finish with four different colors (brown, white, pink and blue), and has a raised “chiclet” keyboard as well as Bluetooth capabilities. Toshiba comes back with the Dynabook Satellite TXW/67JW that is available exclusively on its e-Store. The notebook features an Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53GHz processor with a 4GB RAM, an Intel GM45 Express chipset, a 16-inch 1,366 x 768 resolution LCD display, a 320GB hard drive, a DVD Super Multi drive, and Wi-Fi connectivity. The Toshiba Dynabook Satellite TXW/67JW is available only in Japan for around $1,412. [Akihabara]
